Breast Cancer awareness month

October is Breast Cancer awareness month. It’s an annual international health campaign organized by major breast cancer charities to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure.

All research and studies proved that early detection helps a great deal in the treatment.

“Fight before the attack”

Doctors ask women to run a quick and easy detection every month at home to assure that they don’t have any initial symptoms of breast cancer.

How to Check Yourself for Breast Cancer?

These steps should be repeated each month 7 or 10 days after the menstruation period:

1- Place your right hand behind your head.

2- Check each part of your right breast with your left hand.

3- Move your three middle fingers in a circle. Move your fingers all around your breast.

4- Check for lumps, bumps, or thick spots.

5- Check your left breast and use your right hand with the same steps.

Also, there are some warning signs you have to notice such as:

1- Puckering (wrinkling) or dimpling in the skin.

2- Nipple retraction, changes or discharge

Many foundations around the world have committed themselves to spread awareness about breast cancer, the symptoms and treatment. They encourage women to not be afraid of checking themselves periodically.

Almost all of these foundations are founded by breast cancer survivors and fully funded by donations.

Blakinwite supports and encourages you to donate, check, and reassure yourself.
